How to Increase Content Output | Strategies to Produce More Posts & Videos

Every single time that you write a post or produce a YouTube video, that’s another opportunity for you to make a sale or to reach a customer. So if you can produce more content in the same amount of time, then you’re gonna have more opportunities to build your business. Hello, my name’s Phil. And welcome to my channel.

So today we’re gonna be talking about some free strategies that you can use to increase your content output, and also some paid ideas where you might have to invest a little bit of money and you’re going to really increase your output.

These are actually some ideas that I’m gonna put into action. Later this month, because I feel that my output on content is just not high enough and I really wanna fix that. Okay. So let’s get into those strategies and talk about what you can do to improve your content output. So the first thing I would say is if you are just getting into internet marketing, You’re picking the niche that you want to work with.

I would say pick a niche that you are very familiar with. The more familiar you are with your niche, the easy it’s gonna be. If you know what you’re talking about already, you’re not gonna have to spend extra time researching. And figuring out what happened. This is a mistake that I made. I was interested in my first niche for my first website, but I didn’t know a lot about it.

So I had to spend a lot more time researching. So if there’s something that you are good at already, that is the perfect niche for you. And even if you think it’s not a very sort of competitive niche in terms of affiliate pro products or Amazon products, things like that, you can almost be certain to make a go of any niche and make it a success, especially if it’s something you’re passionate about.

Okay. So once you’ve got a niche that you are passionate about, so when you’ve got a niche that you are familiar with, something that you have a bit of knowledge about already, you’re gonna go through your search. And what you should do to increase your efficiency when it comes to writing posts or producing videos is to come up with a hit list.

So a hit list is just a list of titles that you’ve already researched. You’ve gone through, you’ve analyzed the competition and you can see a crack in the market. And then what that means is every time you sit down to write whether you have an hour to write or a full day or to produce a video, You know exactly what you’re gonna do.

You don’t have to think of a title and then you can get straight into the next stage, which is researching. So to increase your productivity on your writing day or your filming day, do your research in advance. So a really good way of doing this is to use Facebook groups. So what I tend to do before, I’m gonna write a very post or a video that I’m not too sure about. 

I haven’t done the research yet. I will put a question into multiple Facebook groups and allow the users to answer the question. And you can use this information for inspiration. Sometimes they will just give you the answer you’re looking for. Sometimes it will make something click in your head.

You’re like, oh, this is another avenue to explore. So this really helps you with research, especially if it’s a topic that you are not a hundred percent familiar with.  another way to use your time. A little bit more wisely is to do your research when you’re on the go. So for example, if you commute to work and you are on public transport, you can use that time on the bus or on the train to research your next article, write some notes, and then you are ready to go when you want to write, or if you’re filming a video, another way to do this on the go.

If you drive to work or you’re driving. You can actually use a hands free phone of course. And you can actually ask Google questions and they will read out the answers to you. So you’ll get the snippet obviously for that query, but this can help you think about ideas as you’re driving around.

And then when you get home, you are ready to write. Another way that I’ve tried to improve my efficiency when it comes to writing and also filming and editing is to use templates. So with my post, they always follow the same post recipe. Now this is a post recipe I got from Income School. Have you not heard of Income School before Income School is run by Ricky Kesler and Jim hammer, and they’ve produced a very good course called Project 24.

For, and of course it’s a free resource when it comes to editing. I also have a template, so I do my filming.

And what I do is I put my video track and my audio track into a premade template. It has all the kinds of text that I normally use. All of the popups and things like that. And I just put in my audio, I put in my video, I sync them together and I’m pretty much ready to go. I just have to go through and edit any mistakes that I’ve made and just make it look the way I want.

And it’s a really quick and easy way. Of improving your output and your productivity. Another very time consuming thing when it comes to writing posts is to find the right image. Now, what I recommend you do is go over to kava.com because you can get a lot of free images that you are allowed to use on your website.

And they really do have a lot of images for all different types of niches. So what I’ve been doing is I just go onto Canva and I download the image at the smallest size, which is about 800 pixels wide. And I directly go into my download folder. I transfer it over to another folder where I keep the images for each article.

And I just rename that. Then I upload it directly into word. And there’s a handy little plugging it’s called short pixel image optimizer, and you can get so many credits for free, but if you pay about $10, you get 10,000 credits and each image is one credit. So that’s a lot of images that you can resize.

And what it does is it basically changes the resolution. And you get a smaller file size, but you get the same quality if not better for the image. So it is a really good plugin. If you’re not using it, it’s really gonna help you to have really nice images in your post, but also to improve your page load speed.

So I really recommend that plugin. Another way that you could improve your efficiency when it comes to writing is if you’re not very fast. Then you can use a voice to text app. There’s lots of different options out there. Even if you use a word there’s an option to do dictation. So if you are not a fast writer, then you can use this to get your thoughts down on paper, and then you could go back through it and just edit it for any mistakes.

Anything that the app didn’t understand you saying, so this can really help you up your output. So don’t forget to subscribe to the channel if you’re enjoying it. The video so far. Now let’s talk about some of the paid options that you have. So obviously all the things I’ve said before, this is for you to do.

If you’re working on your own, you’re doing everything yourself, and this can help you to increase your output, but sometimes you’re gonna get to the stage where you need help. So I was talking to my colleague, Michael, the other day, and this is the guy that I’ve set up a YouTube channel with. 

Whether if you the previous video and this niche is all about the iOS, which is an English exam. And it’s an exam that we both teach as English teachers. And we were talking about this idea of letting go. There’s a certain point in time where you just can’t do everything yourself. And also you’ve got to realize that your time has value.

So how much is your time worth to you? We were talking about this and we’re talking about the fact that there are certain. Are very time consuming. And these are the tasks that perhaps you could outsource to someone else. Sometimes they may not do it with the same amount of passion as you, but if you train them well, then they can produce a similar quality of post or similar quality of video editing.

So we were talking about this and obviously what I’ve done recently is I’ve hired writers. So I have a team of about four or five writers at the moment who write posts for. And my two extra sites that I’ve put up in the last four months, everything’s been outsourced to these writers. And to be honest, they’re doing a pretty good job.

It took a while to train them, but they’re doing a pretty good job. However, I still need to go through those articles and edit them. I need to make sure that they haven’t plagiarized them. I need to look for videos. I can embed it into the post. And I also need to look for images.

 Now I’ve been thinking about this and I think in addition to hiring writers, which you can do fairly cheaply, also hiring an editor. This is something that I’m very eager to do. And in fact, I was talking to Michael about his girlfriend who has a background in English literature. And she’s actually an amateur writer and this is the sort of candidate that’s quite good.

So I could train her to write the articles. And then after. Shown that she’s at the right level. I will train her how to edit the articles. So that would involve going into WordPress, formatting everything, resizing texts, and also teaching her how to find the right sort of videos to go with that subject matter and also where to get images and how to get them.

That you can use for free or fairly cheaply. And of course there are different types of editors. There are editors for text, but there are also video editors. Now for me personally, I really do enjoy editing videos, but it’s quite time consuming. One of my issues at the moment is that my computer is on the Fritz.

And sometimes when I’m trying to edit. It just gives up. So if I was to find, say a high school student or someone who would be willing to do the task, but perhaps for a reasonable wage, let’s say it would be worth my while to pay someone to do the task because although I do enjoy it.  It takes a long time and I could use that time for other tasks.

And another thing in addition that people don’t really talk about, which I think is quite an interesting idea, is to hire a researcher. Now, of course, this could be your editor and could also be your researcher, but what I mean by this is every time I come up with my hit list, I go through search analysis.

I. The queries that I think that I can win. Then I come up with the titles once I’ve done that, I send it to the writers that I’ve hired, but I also give them a long list of ideas, things to research some subheadings, depending on the post. And sometimes when I get the articles back, I feel perhaps that’s not the direction I would’ve gone.

Perhaps you could have got a little bit more data here or there, but I don’t really expect my writers to go the extra mile. I’m not really paying them a great sum of money. So I think they’re doing exactly what they should for the wage. However, if I was to hire a researcher, Then I could ask them to actually go a little bit deeper into the query and find some unique data.

This could be done by simply sending emails to people, calling people up, or they could go through the queries and suggest subheadings. This is another task that I wouldn’t have to do. I could outsource that to someone else. And that just gives me a lot more time. So we’ve been talking today about the fact.

How you can produce more content at the same time if you’re doing it on your own is a question of being more efficient. If you have a little bit of money to invest, then you can pay people to be writing at the same time, which means that you will get a lot more posts and possibly a lot more videos.

For the same amount of time. Of course, it’s a bit of an investment, but I think the risk is well worth taking. Okay. So thanks very much for watching.
