How Many Posts Do You Need For A Successful Website?

Youtube video transcript

So today is another video in a series where I’m responding to a review of Project 24 by a channel called keyword research company. And basically in a video, they. They suggested seven reasons not to buy Project 24, which is the course sold by Income School and was devised by Jim hammer and Ricky Kela.

So today I want to talk about another reason why they said not to buy the course, but I think it’s a reason to buy the course and it’s all to do with how many posts Jim and Ricky tell you to write for your website. So in the video that I’m responding to, the guy basically said that Jim and Ricky tell you to write 30 posts.

On any website and that simply isn’t true. I think that’s just a misunderstanding. So I wanna make it clear what the party line is according to Project 24. So when you go through the 60 steps, there’s a course called the 60 steps to a successful website and you can check out. Review of that. I pull a link in the description.

This is the core course of Project 24, but at the moment there are about 16 mini-courses. So it’s only one 16th of what you get in Project 24. It’s a really good course. You get over eight hours of video content and it takes you step by step through the 60 things you need to. To get a good seed in the ground.

And to begin your journey as a successful internet marketer within that course, Jim or Ricky taught you to write 10 response posts, 10 staple posts, and 10 pillar posts. Now those different types of posts are different lengths and they have a slightly different purpose. A response post is, as it sounds a response to a particularly query a staple post can be something quite fun.

It’s quite good, on social media. Whereas a pillar post is that kind of content that really props up your business. That is going to be the key ideas within your niche. And you might have quite a few money focused of posts. Maybe you are recommending pro products, or perhaps it’s sort like key ideas that your users need to know about.

And you’ve written a very in-depth guide or given a lot of. Details about that particular query. But that’s not it that’s not the end of the journey. That’s the beginning of the journey. So what they do is they tell you to write these 30 different types of posts, just to really test your niche.

It’s also to help you build up authority with Google. So you start off with the 10 response posts and there you are really going for the low competition. Queries and particularly queries that maybe bigger authority websites within your niche haven’t yet focused on. So you get a few early wins and by getting those early wins, you get a little bit of trust from Google and that helps you with your future posts.

So the staple posts, you’re gonna try and promote these a little bit on social media and they’re the kind of shareable content and they can be quite fun, but also very useful. And then the pillar posts. These will take the longest to rank because you’re going to go after more competitive keywords and they’re much longer posts as well, but by writing the initial 10 response posts and then adding staple posts, by the time your pillar posts come around to getting into the ranking sort of process.

You’re gonna have a little bit of authority with Google, a little bit of trust, and it helps you out. So the reason we do that is to help ranking also to test out different areas of the niche. You can see what is working, where you get more page views. And after that, after about, I don’t know, three or four months, let’s say you can look back at your data and then you double down.

So by no means, do you stop writing content? Finish the 60 steps. In fact, we have a timeline in Project 24, which tells us month by month, how many posts we should write, how much expected traffic we will have, and also how much money we’re expected to reach. So I’m in month six now of my project.

And I should have somewhere around 70 to 80 pieces of content, both on my website and in YouTube. And that’s what I have. So that’s an additional 40 articles or videos or what have you On the basic 30 articles that you will get by completing the 60 steps. So by no means does Jim and Ricky, or I should no means do Jim and Ricky recommend that you write 30 articles and that’s it.

So where does that misunderstanding come from? It’s because if you go back and look at a lot of the videos that the guys produced about a year ago or two years ago, that’s what they were doing. They had a few examples where they. Sites with 30 articles or fewer, they’re all making a substantial income, but now they do not recommend this.

They do not with the kind of climate of the internet marketing world right now. They say this probably isn’t gonna work anymore. It may do. If you are extremely good at search analysis and you nail every single query, but if you’re doing this for the first time, that’s just not gonna be the case.

So they do not recommend you write. Only 30 articles. They recommend you start with 30 particular articles in order to test the waters. And if you do that, then you’re gonna be able to build on success, double down on the articles that bring in the most traffic. And that is the sort of way that I’ve been taught to do it.

So I just want to give a, an example of what I’ve. So you may or may not know that I’m also planning to launch a couple more websites. I have my main project, 24 website, which has 65 posts on it, which I’ve written completely on my own, but I also recently launched two new websites into different niches and I’m outsourcing all the content.

I am going to try and get those initial 30 posts, and then I’m going to leave it there for a little while just to let it run and see what happens. But I’m not gonna stop at 30 articles. I’m gonna carry on building and adding content as I go. But I’m outsourcing that. So by, by no means, am I going to just write 30 articles and lead it?

Cuz that’s impossible. You’re not going to get enough. Traction. You’re not going to have. Critical mass of content in order to build a substantial income. So if you think you can just do it 30 articles. Yeah. I think you need to think again, because 20 19, 20, 20, it’s just a little bit more difficult to do that, to have that business model than it was even a year ago.

Again, I think that keyword research company, they just misunderstood it a little bit. So by no means does Jim and Ricky Can’t speak English. No means do Jim and Ricky recommend that you only write 30 articles. That is just the beginning. So I hope that I’ve clarified things a little bit and told you, what is the current advice from Project 24 from within the program?

Hopefully you found this useful and if you have, don’t forget to subscribe because I will be giving you a lot more content like this, and there’s a lot more to come in the future and don’t. This is a video part of a series. And over the next couple days, there’s gonna be two more videos coming out.

So if you haven’t seen the first four, then go back, there’s a link in the description, go back to the first video and you can watch all of those. I’ve just gone through some other kind of MIS misunderstandings. Let’s say that keyword research company had in their review. So thanks very much for watching.

And if you’ve got any questions at all, how many posts do you have on your website? Leave me a comment and we can talk about it.
